ModernLoop’s API exposes interview scheduling, interviewer load, and recruiting operations data. We authenticate with an API token — a token you generate directly in ModernLoop’s settings and send as a Bearer token.

Generate an API token

  • In ModernLoop, open your organization’s admin settings and navigate to the API token page. The exact path depends on your plan and admin console layout — if you don’t see this option, ask your ModernLoop account representative to enable API access.
  • Generate a new API token and copy it immediately.
Important: The token is shown only once, when it’s created. If it’s lost, you’ll need to generate a new token and reconnect.

What we access

When generating your token, grant read-only access to every available permission — we never write to ModernLoop, and withholding access to any module will cause the corresponding data to fail to sync. We pull:
  • Jobs and job stages
  • Applications and their status/stage history
  • Candidate records
  • Interview events and interviewer assignments
  • Schedules and schedule-level status
  • Scheduling tasks and task queues
  • Interview modules and member training progress
  • Users (interviewers), their load limits, and training status
  • Activity log entries, for audit and operational history
  • Organization scheduling defaults and timezone
We never write to ModernLoop — nothing we do can modify your jobs, candidates, or schedules.

Enter your credentials

  • Click Connect above to open the connection form.
  • Paste the copied token into the API Key field.
  • Click Connect to save.
