Please execute the following steps to provision a dedicated Content API token for our analytics integration. Leapsome’s Content API is a one-way (read-only) integration used to extract data from your Leapsome workspace.
Important Note
The Content API token must be created by a user with administrator access in Leapsome. The token is only displayed once at the time of creation, so make sure to copy it immediately and store it securely until you hand it off through our portal.
Phase 1: Generate a Content API Token
Navigate to API Access
- Path: Settings → Integrations and imports → API access
Create the API Secret
- Action: Click “Create API Secret”.

Grant the Required Scopes
Important: When configuring the API Secret, the token must be granted scopes for Goals, Reviews, Users, Timetracking, Payroll, Work Locations, Absences, and Feedback. The integration will not function correctly if any of these scopes are missing.
Copy the Generated Token
Once created, the token will appear directly above the “Create API Secret” button. Copy it immediately — it will not be shown again.
Phase 2: Review Available Data (Optional)
From the same API access page, clicking “Leapsome API” opens Leapsome’s Content API documentation, where you can review the exact data points available from the Reviews, Goals, and other enabled modules.
Phase 3: Handover
Please securely transmit your API Key (the Content API Secret generated in Phase 1) through our integration portal.
