Setup steps

Create a new agent
In the left nav, click + New agent under the Agents subsection.

Start from a blank agent
In the modal that appears, click Create Blank in the top right corner.

Add a connection
In the resulting agent view, click + Add connection. You’ll find this in the Tools and access section of the Settings panel on the right.

Add a custom MCP server
In the modal that appears, click + Add custom MCP in the lower left corner.

Enter the server URL
Enter the MCP server URL as
https://chat.svc.humanintelligence.com/mcp.6
Enter the name
Enter the server Name as
Human Intelligence.7
Connect
Click the Connect button in the lower right corner.

Sign in to Human Intelligence
If prompted, complete authentication by logging in with Human Intelligence.

Allow access
Click Allow Access to grant Notion Agents access to your Human Intelligence user account.

Start building
Start building with Notion Agents and your people data via Human Intelligence.
Verifying the connection
Ask your agent something only your governed data can answer — for example, “What datasets do I have access to in Human Intelligence?” The agent should call the Human Intelligence MCP server and return your organization’s datasets.The agent connects as the person who authorized it. It sees exactly the
data that account is permitted to see — no more. Keep this in mind when
sharing an agent with teammates whose access differs from yours. See Identity
and permissions.
