How to Invite Teammates
Go to Settings
Open Settings > Team from the left sidebar. This is where you manage everyone who has access to your Human Intelligence workspace.
Add Team Members
Click Invite Members and enter one or more email addresses. You can invite people individually or paste a list.
Assign Roles
Choose a role for each person you invite. Roles control what someone can see and do inside the platform. See the role breakdown below for guidance.
Roles at a Glance
Every person in your workspace has exactly one role. Here is what each role can do.| Role | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access. Manage integrations, invite users, configure governance, and view all data. |
| Analyst | Explore metrics, manage definitions, and access data allowed by their tags and permissions. |
| Viewer | View shared reports and metrics. Cannot build new analyses or change settings. |
| Restricted | Access limited to specific reports or metrics explicitly shared with them. Ideal for external partners or narrow use cases. |
A Quick Note on Tags and Permissions
Roles determine what someone can do (explore metrics, manage integrations, invite users). Tags and permissions determine what someone can see (compensation metrics, demographic dimensions, recruiting dimensions). Think of it this way:- Role = feature access.
- Tags and permissions = data access.
For the full guide on setting up tags, permissions, and data-level access controls, see Tags & Roles.
Tips for a Smooth Rollout
Practical advice for bringing your team on board
Practical advice for bringing your team on board
- Start with your core analytics team. Invite the people who will define metrics and manage definitions first. They can validate the data before a wider launch.
- Use SSO from day one if you can. It simplifies onboarding and keeps your IT team happy.
- Review roles quarterly. As people change jobs or leave, make sure their access still makes sense.
- Lean on Viewer and Restricted roles. Not everyone needs Analyst access. Giving stakeholders a Viewer role keeps things simple and secure.
Next Steps
Once your team is set up, you may want to:- Connect your data sources if you have not already.
- Review your governance setup to make sure sensitive data is protected.
- Explore metrics and segments to see what the platform can answer.
