Human Intelligence is built for collaboration. The sooner your team is on the platform, the sooner everyone is working from the same trusted numbers. This guide walks you through adding people and making sure they see only the data they should.

How to Invite Teammates

Go to Settings

Open Settings > Team from the left sidebar. This is where you manage everyone who has access to your Human Intelligence workspace.

Add Team Members

Click Invite Members and enter one or more email addresses. You can invite people individually or paste a list.

Assign Roles

Choose a role for each person you invite. Roles control what someone can see and do inside the platform. See the role breakdown below for guidance.

Set Up SSO (Optional)

If your organization uses single sign-on, you can enable it under Settings > Security. Once SSO is active, new teammates sign in with their company credentials — no separate password needed.

Roles at a Glance

Every person in your workspace has exactly one role. Here is what each role can do.
Set permissions before you share sensitive data. Make sure your categories and permissions are configured before inviting teammates who should not see compensation, demographic, or other sensitive dimensions. Roles alone control feature access — categories and permissions control data access.

A Quick Note on Categories and Permissions

Roles determine what someone can do (explore metrics, manage integrations, invite users). Categories and permissions determine what someone can see (compensation metrics, demographic dimensions, recruiting dimensions). Think of it this way:
  • Role = feature access.
  • Categories and permissions = data access.
You will want both in place for a secure, well-governed workspace.

Tips for a Smooth Rollout

  • Start with your core analytics team. Invite the people who will define metrics and manage definitions first. They can validate the data before a wider launch.
  • Use SSO from day one if you can. It simplifies onboarding and keeps your IT team happy.
  • Review roles quarterly. As people change jobs or leave, make sure their access still makes sense.
  • Lean on Viewer and Restricted roles. Not everyone needs Analyst access. Giving stakeholders a Viewer role keeps things simple and secure.
