# Pave

> Connect compensation benchmarking and survey data to analyze pay equity, market positioning, and total rewards.

This guide walks through how to generate an API key in Pave and connect it to the Human Intelligence platform. You must have Admin permission in Pave to complete these steps.

## Part 1: Generate an API Key in Pave

* Navigate to [https://app.pave.com](https://app.pave.com) and log in to your account.
* Click **Settings** in the navigation.
* Click **Connections**.
* Click **Generate API Key**.
* Copy the generated API key.

  You will only see this key once — store it securely immediately.

## Part 2: Connect the API Key in Human Intelligence

* In the Human Intelligence platform, click **Integrations** in the sidebar.
* Locate the **Pave** card and click **Connect**.
* Paste the copied key into the **API Key** field.
* Click **Connect** to complete the integration.
