# Metaview

> Connect interview recordings and AI-generated notes for hiring quality insights.

## Metaview Setup: Interview Intelligence Integration (via Zapier)

To sync your interview transcripts and summaries with our platform, we use **Zapier** as the secure bridge. This ensures that every time a recruiter or hiring manager completes a call, the transcript and identity data are automatically processed and synced to your account.

**Good news:** You don't need a Zapier account or any technical setup. We handle all the configuration and mapping on our end. You simply need to provide us with your Metaview API key.

### Generate Your Metaview API Key

1. Log into your Metaview workspace at **my.metaview\.app**
2. Navigate to **Integrations** → **Zapier**
3. Click **"Generate API Key"**
4. Copy the generated key — you'll only see this once, so make sure to save it

### Provide the API Key to Our Team

Click the "Connect" button above and use the modal to submit your Zapier API key. We'll use this to securely connect your Metaview workspace to our platform.

#### What we'll do with your key:

* Configure the Zapier integration in our account
* Set up automatic syncing of interview data
* Map all the required fields
* Test the connection to ensure data flows correctly

### What Data Gets Synced

Once connected, the following data from each interview will automatically flow to your account:

| Category     | Metaview Field     | Purpose                                                      |

| Identity     | Interviewer Name   | Attributes the interview to the specific team member.        |
| Identity     | Interviewer Email  | Matches the interviewer to your platform user seat.          |
| Identity     | Candidate Name     | Links the transcript to the specific candidate profile.      |
| Identity     | Candidate Email    | Ensures accuracy in candidate tracking (unique identifier).  |
| Meeting Info | Meeting ID         | The unique Metaview ID (prevents duplicate records).         |
| Meeting Info | External ID        | Links the data back to your ATS (e.g., Greenhouse/Ashby ID). |
| Meeting Info | Duration / Date    | Timestamps the interaction for velocity reporting.           |
| Content      | Transcript         | The full text of the interview for deep analysis.            |
| Content      | AI Notes / Summary | High-level takeaways and highlights.                         |

### Important Prerequisites

Before providing your API key, please ensure:

#### Team-Wide Access is Enabled

* Only a **Metaview Admin** can generate API keys
* Ensure your Metaview privacy settings allow team-wide transcript access
* This ensures transcripts from all hiring managers are captured

#### ATS Integration is Active (Recommended)

* Connect Metaview to your ATS (Greenhouse, Ashby, etc.)
* This ensures the `External ID` and `Job Title` fields are populated automatically
* Without ATS sync, some metadata may be missing

#### Processing Delay

* Data typically flows **5–10 minutes** after each meeting ends
* This delay allows Metaview's AI to finish transcription and generate summaries

### Timeline & Next Steps

1. Generate and send us your Metaview API key (5 minutes)
2. We configure the integration (1–2 business days)
3. We notify you when testing is complete and data is flowing
4. Your interviews automatically sync going forward
